Miracle
There once was a girl raised up on a farm with a heart as tender as baby corn, eyes
as blue as postcard skies, hair the color of ginger spice. She grew tall and sturdy like a Texas pine, snappin them peas,
fishin that line, learnin the difference between right and wrong, dreamin them dreams all day long. Her mama and daddy did'nt
know what on earth to do when they learned she was brain damaged from birth, so they gave her some colors, pencils and pens.
Soon she would impress them time and time again. So they gave her some paint to see what she could do. They were really happy
when she was through. Mom sold her paintings one by one, they did'nt stay around long once they were done. Passed around
among neighbors and friends, bought for bathrooms, kitchens and dens. Other than the art she did'nt do much. Spent her time
climbing trees, holding frogs and such. She made it through school without cracking a book. But when the seizures came she
writhed and shook. She faced her pain each and every day and prayed to God to find a way, to help her feel like a normal
person, not like someone who has a curse on her life, her soul, her body, her brain. She prayed to God to end this pain. Then
one day she made a decision. No matter what happens, no more medication. She took a chance and stepped out on faith and God
gave her a miracle that day. No more siezures ever came! No more pills, no more shame! Though the doctors said it was really
weird, they had no choice but to pronounce her cured! By Elaine Earl

CALLING ALL BOOKWORMS!!!
--------------------------------------------------- READING IS MY
OTHER HOBBY. I read THE DA VINCI CODE by Dan Brown. This book was right down my alley, all about art, religion, legends,
symbolism, secret codes, verses and riddles. Remember kids, it's only a story so don't go getting carried
away. If you have'nt read it though, you should. It is really a great book. This one has it all; danger, love, adventure,
and intrigue. It's strange to me that a mere novel could turn the Christian world upside down but this one actually has. I
was reprimanded for reading it by several of the devout. However I don't think anyone has the right to tell me what to read
or what to believe. And I would hate to see us revert back to the age of book burning but there are some who would love to
grab this book off of every shelf and burn it if they could get away with it! I'd find it almost funny if it weren't so sad
that some of us have not evolved from that point in history. I highly recommend THE DA VINCI CODE but be cautioned, this book
is for entertainment purposes only. If you are seeking the truth, read my favorite book in the world, the Bible, and let me
add another word of caution here, though it's difficult to understand, the best one is the regular old King James Version.
Many of the newer Bibles have been rewritten to promote a particular church or doctrine.

One of the greatest books I've ever read is "In The Shadow Of The Moons" by Nansook Hong. It is about her life as
the daughter in law of Reverend Sun Myung Moon. In case you don't know who he is, he was the founder of the Unification Church
or the "Moonies" as they are more commonly known. This church believes that Mr. Moon is the Messiah and worships
him as a god along with his whole family. He and his wife are known as the "True Parents." Ms. Hong reveals him
for what he is, a complete and total fraud. She is forced to marry Mr. Moon's creepy son who turns out to be the biggest jerk
in the world! He drinks, lies, cheats on her, uses cocaine, and beats her. Finally she gets the nerve to run away from this
monster and start a new life. Ms. Hong is a very talented writer. I couldn't put her book down once I started reading it.
The Unification movement is a cult that is both anti-Jesus and anti-American. Some members are born into the religion
and others are recruited and brainwashed using various methods. Rev. Moon is a megalomaniac who wants to unite all Christian
churches under one label. He already has some political influence and wants more. He hopes for world domination eventually.
The Moons own many businesses world-wide, including THE WASHINGTON TIMES, the newspaper former president Reagan called
"his favorite." In her book, Ms. Hong shows a connection between the Moons and many influential Americans including the Bush
family, several actors, and Rev. Jerry Falwell.

THE MAKER'S DIET is a very inspirational book. It is about a young college student who was so sick he could'nt finish school
or work until he got himself well. There were several times in his young life when they didn't even expect him to live through
the night. He was told he had an incurable disease too, Crohn's disease. But he was able to get well by reading his Bible
and studying the foods God recommended! And miraculously he got well. See why I harp on the Bible so much? It's full of miracles.
A few days later...I just finished FRANNY AND ZOOEY. What a delightful and spiritual little book! What a breath of fresh
air! At first it was kind of hard to get into but if you stay with it, it's a good story. It's about a dysfunctional family
of actors, with extremely gifted children. The daughter becomes disillusioned and goes on a spiritual search and becomes so
pensive and deep in thought that she cannot eat which naturally worries the poor mom half to death. Through a series of skilled
acting techniques, psychology, tough love, and even trickery, her deeply caring brother is the hero of the story who comes
to the rescue to help bring her out of her slump. I totally identified with the mom in the book as I too am a mother of gifted
and also very close children. Both my kids are excellent students and it can be very challenging keeping up with them. They
pressure themselves so and we moms try to help them with their struggles but sometimes they are pondering things that, I confess,
are just entirely over my head. This is a must read for any parent of a gifted child, especially if you are like me and not
as gifted. They can make you feel dumb sometimes but you gotta forgive them and just do your best. However, on a critical
note, there is entirely too much smoking in this book and if my son ever spoke to me like Zooey speaks to his mom, he would
have to tolerate a sermon from me that would singe the paint right off the walls. Overall though I give FRANNY AND ZOOEY by
J.D. Salinger a grade of O for Outstanding!

I just finished reading THE SECRET TEACHINGS OF ALL AGES by Manly P. Hall. This is a comparative study of many of the
ancient religions and how they relate to Christianity. If you are researching the Bible, Freemasons, Illuminati, Rosicrucians,
or the occult, this book should be on your reading list. It is also about the benefits of studying philosophy. The author
is a well known Mason. This book contains some of the weirdest illustrations I have ever seen. Some might consider the illustrations
evil. There are many rumors circulating on the net of an evil conspiracy by the Masons, which makes it all the more interesting,
but after reading an actual book written from the point of view of one of them, I am not as quick to judge. He puts a pretty
positive spin on their intentions, which for the most part sound fairly honorable. However, be forewarned that he does seem
to want to do away with Christianity as we know it and replace it with a more philosophical and in their opinion more enlightened
version of it. I'm not a big fan of how organized religion has interpreted the Bible so maybe a change is what we really need.
If you are someone who is satisfied with the way things are and you fear change, be afraid, be very afraid, because change
is probably on the way if these people really are in control as the conspiracy theorists believe. I have heard awful rumors
and stories by people who claim to have been sexually molested and tortured by Masonic parents whom they claimed were Satan
Worshippers. If you'd like to read some of these stories, I found a website that has a variety of them. I can't tell you if
the rumors are true or not because I have never personally met anyone who experienced anything negative at the hands of Masons.

Certainly I don't agree with everything Mr. Hall has to say but it is a very interesting and informative read as the controversy
continues to boil. Most troubling to me is what seems to be his condoning of Sun worship but the author does seem to have
a genuine love for the Bible. He states that many of the elements in the Bible can also be found in sun worship and other
ancient religions and speculates that Christianity was possibly modeled after them. Obviously that thought would be quite
troubling to most mainstream Christians. He also outlines the similarity of the Bible to Greek and Egyptian mythology. I will
include here the following passage from the book which I consider very well written and quite profound.
"Today man, a sublime creature with infinite capacity for self-improvement, in an effort to be true to false standards,
turns from his birthright of understanding ---without realizing the consequences--- and plunges into the maelstrom of material
illusion. The precious span of his earthly years he devotes to the pathetically futile effort to establish himself as an enduring
power in a realm of unenduring things. Gradually the memory of his life as a spiritual being vanishes from his objective mind
and he focuses all his partly awakened faculties upon the seething beehive of industry which he has come to consider the sole
actuality. From the lofty heights of his Selfhood he slowly sinks into the gloomy depths of ephemerality. He falls to the
level of the beast, and in brutish fashion mumbles the problems arising from his all too insufficient knowledge of the Divine
Plan. Here in the turmoil of a great industrial, political, commercial, inferno, men writhe in self-inflicted agony and, reaching
out into the swirling mists, strive to clutch and hold the grotesque phantoms of success and power. Ignorant of the cause
of life, ignorant of the purpose of life, ignorant of what lies beyond the mystery of death, yet possessing within himself
the answer to it all, man is willing to sacrifice the beautiful and true, and the good within and without upon the blood-stained
altar of worldly ambition. The world of philosopy---that beautiful garden of thought wherein the sages dwell in the bond of
fraternity---fades from view. In its place rises an empire of stone, steel, smoke and hate ---a world in which millions of
creatures potentially human scurry to an fro in the desperate effort to exist and at the same time maintain the vast institution
which they have erected and which, like some mighty Juggernaut, is rumbling inevitably towards an unknown end. In this physical
empire, which man erects in the vain belief that he can outshine the kingdom of the celestials, everything is changed to stone.
Fascinated by the glitter of gain, man gazes at the Medusa-like face of greed and stands petrified." (Manly P. Hall)
Here is another link you may find interesting that is supposed to be written by a member of the Illuminati:

I read THE TEMPLAR REVELATION by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince. This book explores the possibility that Jesus may have been
married or at least been in love with Mary Magdalene. They site many examples of his affection for her from the gnostic gospels.
These were books that the Catholic church censored, tried to destroy, and prevented from being included in the Bible, mainly
because they gave Mary Magdalene a higher status than the other disciples and conflicted with many of the basic concepts of
Christianity. The authors explore the theory that Jesus may have been an initiate of a mystery cult. The authors also try
to dispel many other myths about Jesus. They compare Christianity to pagan religions and mystery cults that were common in
Jesus time, and make a strong case that Christianity was simply an adaptation of much older mystery cults. The legends associated
with these pagan religions were about dying and rising Gods who did almost all the same things Jesus did, such as turning
water into wine and other miraculous deeds. The role of John the Baptist is discussed, and the posssibility that he may have
had his own little band of followers who did not necessarily go on to follow Jesus after John was beheaded. The most fascinating
part of the book is about a town in France with a church that has a skull they believe to be that of Mary Magdalene. They
even bring it out ever so often and carry it down the street in a parade. I had no earthly idea anything like that existed.
